Inspired by the shepherd-craftsmen of alentejo, the artisan produces wooden utensils according to principles and techniques of traditional know-how.
Mal Barbado produces, in the Historic Center of Évora, utensils and furniture to measure, using local materials and the principles and techniques of traditional know-how, inspired by the shepherd-craftsmen of alentejo.
Working wood is a process of unforeseen events, discoveries and respect for nature and the place we inhabit. The materials used are local and, almost always, brought from seasonal pruning, trees affected by natural causes, or from waste from joinery. This collecting act creates new opportunities for materials, reducing waste and the ecological footprint.
