The ornaments are handcrafted in order to preserve the traditional art of handcrafting copper in Mostar.
This coppersmith’s shop dates back to 1918. Special about it is that you can find fourth and fifth generation of coppersmiths in one building.
Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, Adnan Badžak began to create various handicrafts from copper: framed copper, coffee pots (jezvas), plates and jewellery – with historical motifs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He passed his knowledge on to his son Hamza, who is also the youngest coppersmith in Mostar.
This family has been making all of their copper ornaments by hand since 1918 with the idea of preserving tradition and cultural identity.
