Young artisan uses painting as experience in the artistic world
Joana Mendes Évora, 19 years old, is an artisan who works with paintings and prints on t-shirts, bags, jewellery and other products.
She uses painting as an experience in the artistic world. She grew up watching her mother representing the Cape Verdean daily life through puppets. He gained love for graphic arts, started painting and portraying the emblematic monuments of Cidade Velha, a World Heritage Site.
She also started doing some paintings on sports shoes to pass the time and today it is a source of income. She intends to undergo specific training in the area to improve her knowledge and provide products of the highest quality.
