Produces handmade cosmetics and natural soap based on medicinal herbs
Leonor Soares, better known as Nonó, is a producer of handmade cosmetics and natural soap made from medicinal herbs, such as hawkweed soap, aloe vera, rosemary, cinnamon, clay and glycerin, being the main source of income and sustenance of the family.
The motivation for the implementation of this business came from a Spanish lady passing through Cape Verde, who knew a little of the reality of this single mother, with a paraplegic daughter, unemployed, head of family, midwife and connoisseur of traditional medicine, based on plants.
Thanks to this lady, she received various training courses and today she is a nationally recognised producer. She has also received training in the processing of agricultural products from Brazil.
