Meryan is a family business with the main objective of rescuing and preserving the tradition of the “Cordobanes and guadamecíes” leather from Córdoba, a practically disappeared and devalued handicraft that comes from the 10th century and made the city of Córdoba world famous.

The most important characteristic of our product is that it is unique and fully identifies with the city of Córdoba.
Meryan focuses her work on the manufacture of leather articles for accessories (bags and leather goods) and home decoration.
The workshop and store is located in Calleja de las Flores in the historic center of the city of Córdoba and currently has 9 workers.
In 2013 we collaborated with the luxury company Loewe in the manufacture of a collection of bags and accessories for the brand.

In 2018 we participated in the Homo Faber European handicraft exhibition held in Venice through the broadcast of a documentary on leather crafts in Córdoba. The Exhibition was held in September in Venice.
In 2013, the Meryan company was a Finalist of the National Crafts Prizes awarded by Fundesarte, an organization dedicated to promoting crafts within the School of Industrial Organization. (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism).
In 2012 the historic center of the city of Córdoba was declared a Area of Artisan Interest by the Junta de Andalucía and one of the 14 workshops that comprise it is the Meryan workshop located in Calleja de las Flores.
