Talego Design

Talego Design is the combination of four Passions: Design, Crafts, Ribatejo and Alentejo.

It is a brand of handmade design that aims to redesign the regional crafts of Alentejo and Ribatejo. It aims to give the craft pieces the use for which they were created by their ancestors, giving them a contemporary design and utilitarian characteristics that respond to the needs and desires of today’s consumers.

Researching the history of regional crafts allowed them to understand which pieces were most produced, what uses they had, the names by which they are known in the two regions and in which materials they were produced. With the identification of the materials they sought to investigate their characteristics, in order to understand the reason for the choice. This research allowed them to use the materials in an optimized way adding value to the products by marking the difference in a market that proved so “standardized”.
