Workshop Association “Kaligraf”

Association “Kaligraf”, with its official establishment in Mostar in 2018, continues the centuries-old tradition of nurturing beautiful writing that exists in these areas. The association gathers more than 40 lovers of this art. The aim of the Association is to conduct courses in calligraphy and ornamentation, and to revive this art. Their works are available in the premises of the Association.

The founder of the Association, Munib Obradović, a mechanical engineer from Mostar, also graduated from the Art Academy of Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation “Halil Aga”. The master of calligraphy Hudejr declared Munib a master of calligraphy and awarded him the diploma of “Igaza”. He won several awards at world competitions, and had solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions around the world. He wrote inscriptions on the Clock Tower in Mecca. In 2011, he returned to Mostar where he tried to revive this beautiful art that was once widespread in our region.
